- If they perform. The education system, like the auto industry in this country hasn't performed as it should. So they do not not deserve the pay they are getting now. Fair or unfair, that's life. Unions are for individuals that can't make it on there own work ethic .

- Teachers unions are THE problem. They will never weed out bad teachers, they will protect them. Competition makes everything better, including education. We have, in my opinion fallen behind other countries in education in large part because of teachers unions.

Snoop, i didn't get the figures from out of my "butt". You seem to be a crude kinda fella! I said you can find out the average salary by going on line, which I did. It was general information that is available, but if you want to know for sure, General motors has a site that quantifies their salaries, so you can check for yourself if you care too. I actually believe that the wage should be higher, but that's neither here nor there.
